Born and raised in the Greater Bay Area, I went to the United States at 17 for university and spent six years living and studying overseas. I have travelled across 15 countries, including Türkiye. These global experiences have deepened my passion for cross-cultural communication and have allowed me to observe diverse mindsets, values and wisdom from different parts of the world.
After returning home, I was profoundly inspired by the Greater Bay Area’s unique charm. It perfectly blends ancient Ling’nan cultural heritage with cutting-edge technological innovation, representing China’s dynamic economic and cultural development. This contrast between tradition and modernity motivated me to create a new kind of cultural learning experience for international youth.
As an early childhood educator with international school teaching experience, I believe that cultural learning only becomes real through immersion. By walking the land, meeting local people and living the experience, students begin to form genuine cultural reflection and comparison — and slowly build their own worldview and values. This belief sits at the heart of the program we designed.
We sincerely look forward to welcoming Turkish students to explore, interact and grow in my beloved hometown — the Greater Bay Area of China.
Born and raised in the GBA, Vivien holds a Master’s degree in Archaeology from UCL, with ten years of study and work experience in the UK. She brings an evidence-led, historical lens to co-design our curriculum. Her archaeological perspective adds unique academic depth, guiding students to observe, question and uncover cultural stories with critical thinking.
The Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) is a world-class city cluster in southern China, where rich Lingnan traditions meet world-leading innovation. This 10-day immersive study tour invites young learners aged 8–16 on a cultural and technological adventure across Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Guangzhou and Foshan.
The GBA embodies a form of “harmony in diversity” — three customs zones, three currencies and two social systems coexist within one region. Each city plays a distinct role: Hong Kong connects China to the world, Shenzhen drives innovation, Dongguan powers manufacturing and designer toys, Guangzhou anchors trade and history, Foshan preserves tradition and intangible heritage. The GBA turns them into complementary strengths — a living lesson in how unity and diversity can coexist.
Through visits to enterprises, traditional architecture, workshops, museums and local communities, students experience China’s modern life and traditional culture in everyday, hands-on ways.
We help students see, listen, think and compare the world from different perspectives — nurturing open-mindedness and curiosity that last long after the trip ends, and shaping them into thoughtful, compassionate global citizens.
